Pradeep Singh ist Experte für Meerespolitik, Seerecht, Umweltrecht, Klimapolitik und Völkerrecht. Zu seinen akademischen Qualifikationen gehören ein Master of Laws von der Harvard Law School, ein Master in Global Environmental and Climate Change Law von der University of Edinburgh und ein Bachelor of Laws von der Universität Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, wo er seinen Abschluss mit Auszeichnung erhielt. Pradeeps Spezialthemen sind Tiefseebergbau, Erhalt der biologischen Vielfalt im Meer und Meeres-Governance, nachhaltige Entwicklung und Gleichberechtigung. Das Affiliate Scholarship am RIFS hat zum Ziel, den Wissensaustausch und die gemeinsame Forschung zu internationalen Governance-Prozessen zu fördern, z. B. im Hinblick auf den Tiefseebergbau (DSM), die Verhandlungsmechanismen und die Rolle von Organisationen und Beobachtern.
