Sushovan Ghosh ist seit September 2026 Fellow am RIFS und seit Juli 2024 als Researcher im Bereich Earth System Services am Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) tätig. Vor seinem Wechsel zum RIFS arbeitete er am Climate Change Adaptation Digital Twin (Climate DT) von Destination Earth und wirkte an der Entwicklung des Anwendungspakets für den Energiebereich mit.

Während seiner Promotion wurde er von der indischen Regierung mit der renommierten Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship ausgezeichnet. Er promovierte mit Auszeichnung am Centre for Atmospheric Sciences des Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen auf Luftqualität, Klimawandel und deren Auswirkungen auf erneuerbare Energieressourcen. Seine Doktorarbeit wurde mit einer Editor’s Choice-Auszeichnung gewürdigt. Als engagierter Wissenschaftskommunikator erhielt er mehrere Auszeichnungen für Wissenschaftskommunikation, und über seine Forschung wurde in internationalen Medien berichtet.
