Jeremy Fackenthal ist ein Forscher und Filmemacher mit Sitz in San Diego, Kalifornien. Nach dem Abschluss seines Doktorats in Religionsphilosophie arbeitete Jeremy vier Jahre lang als Lehrbeauftragter, bevor er sich der Nonprofit-Arbeit und freiberuflichen Videoarbeit zuwandte. Im Jahr 2017 führte Jeremy Regie bei einem Kurzdokumentarfilm im Rahmen eines Stipendiums der Yale University, das sich mit Spoken-Word-Kunst und gesellschaftlicher Transformation unter Jugendlichen in South Boston befasste. Ungefähr zur gleichen Zeit trat Jeremy dem Team des Institute for Ecological Civilization bei. In den letzten Jahren konnte Jeremy an Projekten arbeiten, die von Kurzfilmen über Initiativen zur Förderung der Lokalwirtschaft bis hin zu Naturschutzwirtschaft reichen. Darüber hinaus hat ihn die Arbeit für Kunden nach Panama, Mexiko, Malaysia, Südafrika, Ungarn und in die Ukraine geführt, um dokumentarisch gestaltete Werbefilme für Nonprofits und Hilfsorganisationen zu drehen. Jeremy belegte im Jahr 2024 den zweiten Platz in einem Stipendienwettbewerb als Emerging Artist für das Dokumentarfilmprojekt „What Did You Drag Me Into?" des OUT at the Movies International Film Festival in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
