Gabriel Dorthe untersucht radikale Formen von Engagement gegen (mangelhafte) Klimaschutzmaßnahmen, wie beispielsweise Chemtrail-Gemeinschaften, die sich gegen Solar Geoengineering aussprechen, Bewegungen des zivilen Ungehorsams von Wissenschaftlern (z.B. Scientist Rebellion) und ökologisch besorgte Selbsthilfegruppen, die gegen die Untätigkeit der Regierungen im Kampf gegen den Klimawandel protestieren. Er untersucht Fragen im Zusammenhang mit Wissenschaftsskeptizismus, Vertrauen in die Wissenschaft und radikalen, ungeskripteten Formen des öffentlichen Widerstands gegen eine planetarische Geopolitik, wie sie von Eliteuniversitäten und internationalen Organisationen vorangetrieben wird.
