Headline: EXAMPLES TO FOLLOW! 18th expeditions in aesthetics and sustainability

The 18th expedition in aesthetics and sustainability will open on Saturday, 27 July 2019 at 17:00 in Erfurt in the Galerie Waidspeicher in the Kulturhof zum Güldenen Krönbacken and in one of the first town houses in the middle of the wonderful historic old town.

From 28 July to 22 September 2019, the curator Adrienne Goehler will present 74 national and international works from the fields of art, science, film and architecture. The comprehensive exhibition in Erfurt will be accompanied by a dialogue programme consisting of lectures, workshops and panels.

EXAMPLES TO FOLLOW!, conceived as a travelling exhibition, shows international artistic and inventive practices with relevance to everyday culture; each new expedition interweaves the peculiarities of local, artistic, scientific and environmental activist competence. Launched in Berlin in 2010, ETF!! has been touring the world ever since. Ethiopia, Brazil, Chile, China, India, Mexico and Peru were among the 17 stations.

2017 the exhibition venue in Valparaiso, Chile has been made possible with the support of IASS and was awarded by the chilean art critics 'best international exhibition of the year 2017’.

This station in Erfurt was initiated by the Advisory Council for Sustainable Development in Thuringia, supported by the Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation and the state capital Erfurt.
