Lena Bayer has been working as a research assistant on the ‘Create:Energy’ project at Rifs since March 2026. She is a sociologist specialising in sustainability and social transformation. She completed her studies, focusing on environmental awareness, socio-ecological change and gender, in Jena, Lisbon and Magdeburg. From 2023 to 2024, she volunteered as part of a Voluntary Ecological Year at Naturhof Malchow in Berlin, where she served as regional spokesperson for Berlin. Through various internships and research projects, she gained experience in the fields of environmental communication, political monitoring, qualitative and quantitative social research, and the design and implementation of civil society initiatives on environmental and climate issues.
