Irene Sacchetti joined the IASS as a fellow in January 2022. In her research project, she is focusing on the re-imagination of human rights law within a planetary justice perspective in the Anthropocene, by exploring alternative onto-epistemologies. After finishing her Master in Public International Law at University of Bologna, Irene worked at the Centre for Climate Law and Sustainability Studies in Prague and at the Geneva International Centre for Justice. She researched on challenges that the climate crisis poses to human rights and law at all levels. She recently attended the Oxford School of Climate Change to gain more scientific insights on the global environmental and climate crisis. Irene is also part of the UNMGCY Migration Working Group, where she upholds youth migrants voices in international fora.
