Azucena Morán explores the interface between social and political philosophy, democratic theory and citizen participation in contemporary politics. In particular, her work focuses on the normative and empirical challenges of antagonisms and epistemic change within participatory processes . Before joining the RIFS; she conducted research at the Berlin Social Science Center. She has also collaborated with different NGOs, UN and Development Agencies, and the news media. She holds a B.A. from the University of Bologna in Italy and an M.A. from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
