Angela Borowski

Angela Borowski studied Communications in Berlin and has over 30 years of international expertise in project management for the private sector and institutions. She joined RIFS in 2009, working initially as a freelance consultant and from 2013 as Senior Associate. Prior to this, she was a supervisor at Kofi Annan´s "Global Humanitarian Forum" in Geneva. At RIFS she is the project coordinator for the Potsdam Summer School and is a team member in the institute´s Fellow Programme.

  • From Jun 2009 until April 2010 Project Director with Kofi Annan´s Global Humanitarian Forum in Geneva, Switzerland. This international foundation focuses on the humanitarian impacts of climate change.
  • Senior Advisor, PIK, responsible for the organization of the Nobel Laureate Symposia in London (2009 under the patronage of HRH The Prince of Wales) and Potsdam (2007).
  • From 2005 until 2009 Senior Supervisor of the annual Potsdam Climate Conference, a joint project of Honda Motor Europe North, PIK and EUROPARC Deutschland (UNESCO MAB).
  • From 1997 until 2009 strategic communications advisor to Honda Motor Europe North.
  • From 1996 until 2008 strategic communications advisor for DIAGEO (an international drinks company).
