Headline: Ideas for Low-Carbon Economies: New Fellowship Programme for Professionals from Germany and Israel

Germany and Israel are pursuing ambitious goals in the expansion of renewable energies and the development of innovative technologies. A new fellowship programme aims to foster a lively exchange of ideas among professionals in both countries.

The Israel Public Policy Institute (IPPI) in Tel Aviv and the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) are calling for applications to the programme “Decarbonisation Strategies for the 21st Century: German-Israeli Perspectives”. The deadline for applications is 3 March 2019. Applications are invited from professionals from the academic and policy communities who are resident in Israel or Germany and are currently working on issues relating to decarbonisation in their home countries.

Three individuals from each country will be selected to participate in the four-month programme. The fellowships are due to begin in the summer of 2019. The fellows will be hosted by the IPPI in Tel Aviv and the IASS in Potsdam and embedded in the research and policy networks of both institutions. They will receive a monthly stipend of 1,650 euro in addition to expenses to cover the costs of travelling to and from their host institution.
