Overline: Energize it, industrialize it and make it work
Headline: The EU Hydrogen Strategy: Are member states on board?

Hydrogen offers a pathway to accelerate the energy transition while safeguarding our industries. But are member states on board? Join the discussion!

Hydrogen offers a unique pathway to combine the transition to renewables while safeguarding our industries in Europe. Through the Green Deal and the REPower EU strategy, the European Commission plans to secure 20 million tons of clean hydrogen in Europe by 2030. Member states are central to implement this strategy, as their development of production capacities and trade infrastructure will determine the sucess of the EU Hydrogen strategy. So what are the progress made in key member states? Are national hydrogen policies aligned with the EU ambitions?

FES Just Climate collaborates with the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) to present the key findings of an investigation coordinated by the IASS about the role of member states in implementing the EU hydrogen strategy. Experts from France, Germany, Poland and Spain will present their key findings and engage a discussion with experts and decision makers during our joint event.
