In summer 2020 we conducted a survey on “The impact of COVID-19 on stakeholder engagement in European energy and marine research” as part of the EU H2020 projects SENTINEL and PANDORA. The survey’s findings were published in Open Research Europe and Maritime Studies and were explored on the IASS blog. We have developed a follow-up survey and would be delighted if you could take part in the survey and/or share the survey with your stakeholders.

In our new study, we want to follow up on our own work as well as research by other scholars and find out if the pandemic will continue to disrupt stakeholder engagement in sustainability research over the long term. We want to hear from both researchers and stakeholders about their views on online research processes after two years of pandemic, which online tools and formats they would like to continue using for specific engagement objectives, how insights gained from the last two years will shape future project proposals, and how stakeholders envisage their future engagement in research projects.

We have developed two separate surveys: one survey for researchers and one that researchers can share with their stakeholders. We invite projects to participate that started no later than January 2020 and ran at least until the end of 2020.

The surveys comply with data protection standards and no personal data will be collected without your consent.

We would highly appreciate your participation and the participation of your stakeholders in this survey. Please share the survey with your stakeholders.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
