Jyoti joined the IASS as a fellow in April 2018. She has completed her MSc Masters in Environmental Science at the Department of Environmental Science, Khwopa College affiliated to Trivbhuwan University (2012-2015), Kathmandu, Nepal. She received the International Climate Protection Fellowship 2018/19 form the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation for her research topic "Air Quality and Climate Benefits of Low Carbon Sustainable Urban Transportation in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal" and she will be conducting her research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mark Lawrence and Maheshwar Rupakheti at the IASS, as her host institute. Prior to the fellowship she worked as a Program Officer in Clean Energy Nepal (Non-Governmental Organization) under the Clean Air, Urban Mobility and Climate Change Unit. Her academic knowledge and experience in the sector of Air, Urban Transport and Climate Change has led her to join the IASS and conduct her research for low carbon sustainable transportation to combat air pollution and climate change.
