Inaie Santos

Inaiê Takaes Santos is a Climate Protection fellow of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. During her stay at IASS from April 2018 until February 2019, she will investigate public policy implementation challenges for the Water-Energy-Land Nexus and how to overcome them, accounting for the interplay of physical linkages with social, economic, and political aspects, by focusing on the bioenergy sector. Inaiê has concluded her bachelor degree in Economics at University of São Paulo and received her MSc at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro with a dissertation on "Regulatory adaption in biofuels industry". Before joining the IASS, she worked as a researcher at Fundação Getulio Vargas in projects that supported the development of climate policy instruments with different government organizations in Brazil. She also conducted stakeholder dialogues with private sector and civil society organizations, on topics such as emissions trading and climate adaptation planning.
